Nature Girl Painting

A new post?! So soon?!! Yeah so I painted this as a demo in a cartooning class that I'm teaching. I finished it at home after the class and I'm pretty happy with it. Simple stuff like this is always fun to do.

It has some irridescent colors on it so it sparkles in the light on her eyes and the wings on the bug. It's also on the green spots in the background. Hope you like it! :D

Dude!

I can't believe how great this looks with colour! That's so much better than I thought it could look, having seen only the original quick sketch. Nice work!

What kind of paint are you using, and why did you decide to do her eyes two different colours?

Muchas gracias! I was using acrylic paints (both Liquitex and Golden).

I gave her eyes different colors because I wanted her to have kind of a mystical feel just to seperate her from being a normal girl. The irridescent colors (that don't show up in the scan) helps it too. :)
